Auspicious Baking Co. Website
Not yet two years old, Auspicious Baking Co. has become an overnight sensation. Serving homemade baked goods twice a week from their shop in Savannah, and selling wholesale through popular eateries throughout the city, Auspicious was looking for a website that shared their passion and joy, while also spotlighting their partners and (of course) showing off their award-winning bakes.

A Tasty First Impression
Boasting a diverse and ever-growing menu, Auspicious wanted to ensure that from the moment a visitor entered the bakery website, they would understand that Auspicious sells more than breads and cookies.
We worked with Auspicious to find a photo and create an overlay that allows visitors to see the product, while also easily reading text and navigating through the main menu.
Sharing their Story
To tell Katie and Mark’s story, we started with a casual conversation to get to the heart of their bakery beginnings. With the big-picture in hand, we discussed preferred communications styles and, from there, decided to craft a questionnaire for the two to complete. Using Katie and Mark’s responses and the notes we took on our in-person conversation, we distilled Auspicious’s story down to its basic ingredients.
Getting Found
Keeping in mind visiting tourists and mobile-friendly formatting, we made Auspicious’s location page simple and streamlined, with easy links to email, phone, and GoogleMaps navigation.
Taking home a piece of the pie
As Katie and Mark’s wholesale and in-store sales continued to grow, weekly customers and tourists began asking for a way to get a dose of Auspicious on the bakery’s days off.
In response, we built Auspicious an online store selling t-shirts and artisanal crackers, with an additional sub-tab for custom order bakes and holiday pre-orders.
Sharing the Love
As wholesale orders grew, Katie and Mark were eager to highlight the local restaurants using their bakes, and promote other small businesses in Savannah.
